Nelson Lions Bingo

Lions Bingo will be suspended until further notice. We thank all patrons and ask for your continued support and patience.

Membership

 We are looking for women and men 18 years of age and older who may have a few hours to spare with a desire to serve  in our communtiy and around the world with humanitarian needs. Ask a Lions member about how you can join. New to Lions is our family memberships with dues being significantly less when more than one member in a household becomes a member Call a member today about joining and help make a difference for someone else.

Annual Xmas tree pick-up:

January 10, 2009, Nelson Lions Club members and Nelson Air Cadets come together to collect your xmas trees. Please place your Christmas trees at your curbside. This service is done for a small donation per tree.

Annual Variety Show

Feb.7, 2008, 2:00 p.m. Civic Theater, Nelson BC.

Casino Equipment

Lions Uphill Park

Outdoor ice rink- boards for the rink are up and weather permitting we will have ice. There is no user fee this rink.

Recycled Eyeglasses

Collection boxes for used eyewear are placed in the optometrist offices in Nelson. Glasses are cleaned, sorted and provided to people in need at no charge to them. Please consider donating your used eyewear if you haven't done so in the past. Someone in a third world country may be able to see because of your thoughtfulness.

Aluminum Tabs

We are collecting pop/beer type tabs in support of the Easter Seals Camp for disabled children in Winfield, BC

Lions Mints

 Look to local business and hotels around town to purchase our rolled candy. The rolls come in 3 flavors; mint, wintergreen, and fruit flavor. At 75 cents each this is a great way to support the Lions Clubs efforts one roll at a time.

Visting Lions please call ahead and come to one of our 2 dinner meetings held each month in Nelson's most historic hotel. We always enjoy meeting with visiting Lions. A letter will be given to you confirming your visitation to take back to your club. Please come and plan your make up meeting with us and let us help you maintain your 100% attendance. Visiting Lions are always welcome to join in any of our activities. However, if you are not able to come to a dinner meeting the President of the club or his delegate would love to meet with you.

2008-12-12 to 2009-01-09 valid for 29 days
Nelson Lions Club members and Nelson Air Cadets will be picking up your used christmas trees for recycling. Please place your tree at the curb in front of your home and we will pick it up(usually before noon) for a small donation per tree.
2) Nelson Lions Variety Show
2008-12-15 to 2009-02-06 valid for 54 days
